This resource, available in English and Welsh, has been designed to support teaching RE at A-level and follows the specifications set by the WJEC. The book provides a relevant and up-to-date look at religion in contemporary society and will enable students to develop a clear understanding of course content.

 

The main topics studied within the book include, religion and contemporary issues, religion and film, religion in the community and religion and the individual. Each unit explores the different themes and issues through current events as well as religious teachings. Students are encouraged to develop their own opinions and there are suggestions for activities and exam practice questions throughout the units.

 

As well as the book for students, there is also a teacher's book. This provides detailed notes on each of the units, supporting activity sheets and essay questions with suggested answers. There are also recommendations for further reading and lists of addiditional resources.
